(the “Company”)
The Company announces that Heather Rabbatts, CBE, has given notice of her
resignation as a director of the Company, which will take immediate effect, in
order to concentrate on her other business appointments. Heather was appointed
in May 2006 and has acted as Executive Deputy Chairman and Joint Chief Executive
before becoming a non executive director in 2009.
Heather Rabbatts said: “After four challenging but rewarding years at Millwall I
am now resigning my directorships to return to a career in the media sector.
However, I can leave now knowing the Company is in good order and the Club with
promotion can now focus on the future under the guidance and leadership of the
Chairman John Berylson whose stewardship has brought the Company the success it
now enjoys.”
Chairman, John Berylson commented: “Heather has given great service to Millwall
that must be recognised. She assumed responsibility at a most difficult and
critical time and now is leaving knowing that we have turned a corner and are
confidently looking forward not backward. Her contributions were enormous and
she will be missed.”
